General public tickets now available for APSU Homecoming concert featuring Frankie Ballard

Clarksville, TN – General public tickets are now available for a concert featuring platinum recording artist Frankie Ballard, with special guest Jason Mizelle.
The event, presented by the APSU Govs Programming Council (GPC), is a part of 2016 Austin Peay State University Homecoming.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Free Concert and Movie at Liberty Park September 24th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce Inside Out is coming to the big screen Saturday, September 24th as part of the 2016 Movies in the Park series.
Movies in the Park will take place at the Liberty Park Amphitheater, located at 1188 Cumberland Drive. Pre-show activities will include a free concert with local singer/songwriter, Sarah Jayne at 4:00pm and Christian music artist, Alphonse Prather at 5:00pm.

This FREE, three-day music and arts festival features three stages of local and nationally-known and diverse entertainers, cultural groups, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.
Documentaries Exploring Clarksville’s Past, Present, and Future to be shown at Roxy Regional Theatre

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville/Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council and Roxy Regional Theatre will present during the month of September a series of six videos exploring people and events from Clarksville’s past, present and future.
The series will take place in the Roxy theatre on Sundays and Tuesdays and was made possible by a placemaking grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. The showings are free and open to the public.
The videos run about 30 minutes and community members are encouraged to join in the discussion afterward exploring Clarksville’s unique character and how to maintain and enhance a strong sense of place in its citizens.

Documentary on the 1863-1890 diary of Clarksvillian Nannie Haskins Williams will be held Sunday, September 4th.

Jammin in the Alley finishes the season Friday night with Life in Technicolor and Nightmasters

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, August 12th, 2016 the last Jammin in the Alley for this year will be held in Downtown Clarksville.
The musical entertainment will kick off at 6:00pm with Life in Technicolor. At 7:00pm, Nightmasters will take the stage and finish off the night.
Brandy Clark to headline Clarksville’s Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Riverfest, presented by the City of Clarksville and Miller Lite, is pleased to announce Brandy Clark will be the featured headliner at the 2016 Festival. Brandy Clark will take the main stage as the headlining event on Saturday, September 10th, 2016 at 9:00pm. The concert is free and open to the public.
For Brandy Clark, the dream she harbored in her small hometown of Morton, Washington, was to be a country singer. Sure, once she moved to Nashville, she had successful cuts as a songwriter [The Band Perry’s “Better Dig Two,” Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart,” and Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow”], but being an artist in her own right was a dream she had stopped dreaming until two years ago when her first album, the stunning 12 Stories, debuted.

Clarksville, TN – Friday night, the place to be was Strawberry Alley for this summer’s third Jammin in the Alley concert. Due to rain in the forecast, the event started at 6:30pm instead of 7:00pm.
Joe Padula of The Joe Padula Show on 1400am WJZM said, “It’s great to be here at Jammin in the Alley, the downtown party with a purpose to help not only grow Downtown Clarksville but to create awareness of what’s down here, the businesses, the people and the live music.
