Concert at Mag’s Coffee Shop

Clarksville, TN – The band, Unnamed Servant, decided to stop at Mag’s Coffee Shop on Riverside Drive in Clarksville on Friday night as a last minute concert stop as the band makes it’s way to St. Louis and eventually on to the west coast.
The Owners of Mag’s Coffee Stop were contacted by the band early in the week about being the location for the concert and after a flurry of emails back and forth the date was set. Even with the last minute notice a couple dozen people were on hand to enjoy the performance.

Appleton Harley-Davidson Open House Saturday, May 5th

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 5th, Appleton Harley-Davidson will be holding their Spring Open House starting at 10:00am. There will be live concerts, food from Don Pancho’s, sales deals, ice cold Budweiser products as well as the Purrfect Angelz from America’s Got Talent.
Come out and join the celebration at Appleton Harley-Davidson. Listen to music by Buck McCoy and RB Stone starting at 11:00am. You do not want to miss the dance routines by Purrfect Angelz at 10:00am. The open house will be going on all day.
Austin Peay State University Concert to capture whimsy and freedom of childhood March 12th

Clarksville, TN – One afternoon several years ago, the prominent Hungarian composer György Kurtág watched as a group of children banged away at a piano. They were playing with the instrument as if it were a toy, and Kurtág was struck by how much fun they seemed to have.
That observation inspired him to compose his solo piano pieces, “Játékok” (Games), which captures the playful freedom of childhood with its sometimes frenetic sounds. At 7:30pm on March 12th, Austin Peay State University professor of music Dr. Jeffrey Wood will present the little-heard piece in a concert filled with works all denoting childhood. [Read more]

Digital Sales Strong – Video Views Increase
Clarksville TN – Local singer/songwriter Lydia Walker’s recent weekend digital album release party and music video premiere was a grand success! The excitement was at full throttle at Chick-fil-a of Madison Street as family and friends packed the dining area to view Lydia’s new video – When I Dance – for the first time.
Guests were also treated to personal introductions of each new song featured on Lydia’s project – Beloved. Main co-writer and producer Curt Ryle was on hand to enjoy the celebration as well as Sarah Lejeune of Feeling Good Entertainment who produced the music video.

The 10th Anniversary of 9/11
Clarksville, TN – “America Sings!” will be held Sunday, September 11th, 2011 at the Austin Peay University, Clement Auditorium from 12:00pm to 3:30pm.
Many of the performers have served in the military, come from military families, or volunteered their time playing for our troops both nationally and internationally. They are ALL donating their time and talents for this effort, which will be submitted to The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for their “10th Anniversary Challenge”, allowing Clarksville to qualify for a grant to be used to support future 9/11 events and projects. A Benefit Concert for the Montgomery Central High School Marching Band
Cunningham, TN – The Indian Nation Band Boosters are hosting the Inaugural “Rock the Reservation” benefit concert, Friday August 12th, for the Montgomery Central High School Marching Band. Four local bands who each have MCHS alumni as members will be featured. The concert starts at 6:00pm and will be over by 10:00pm.
Ticket sales begin at 5:00pm with entrance to the gym at 5:45pm. Tickets will be sold at the door at the low cost of $5.00 (children under 5 years of age are “free”).

Jammin’ in the Alley Concert Series to feature first-ever “Night Market”

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, July 15th, the Clarksville Downtown Market will hold its first-ever “Night Market” in conjunction with the City of Clarksville and U.S. Bank’s popular summer concert series Jammin’ in the Alley.
More than a dozen vendors from Clarksville’s weekly Downtown Market will be set up along Strawberry Alley from 5:00pm to 8:00pm selling a variety of homegrown and homemade items.
