His discussion will cover his extensive collection of American flags, political banners, and other memorabilia found in the exhibit Of Stars & Stripes: From the Collection of Dr. John Olson.

Dr. Olson’s presentation will begin at 3:00pm in the Orgain gallery.

Stompfest for ChristClarksville, TN – It’s back and better than ever! Stomp-fest for Christ! Clarksville and the surrounding areas are welcome to come out and enjoy live music and entertainment at 6:30pm on Saturday August 1st at the APSU Clement Auditorium.

Several churches will use their God given talents to lift up the name of Jesus through various means of entertainment.

Tiffany Bryant Joins Legal Aid Society as Victim Advocate in Clarksville

Tiffany BryantNashville, TN – Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee’s largest non-profit law firm, announced today that Tiffany Bryant has joined the team as a victim advocate for the Clarksville office.

Bryant previously served as a family advocate for the Child Advocacy Center of the 23rd Judicial District and has experience working with The Salvation Army: Joy D. Baker Center and the YWCA: Phyllis Wheatley Center. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. [Read more]

Clarksville Civil War RoundtableClarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, November 14th, 2012 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Gateway Hospital. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall. The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

This is a special meeting night one week earlier than normal due to the Thanksgiving holiday the following week.

COGS / Riverside Bicycle racers take 1st, 2nd places

COGS Mountain Bike ClubClarksville, TN – Eight racers from COGS / Riverside Bicycle racing team competed in the Chickasaw Trace Classic mountain bike race in Columbia, TN.

The 17th annual event was held Sunday, March 25th and featured races for over 300 riders of different age groups and skill levels. COGS / Riverside Bicycle had four riders in the podium ceremony.

The Lone Oak Picnic is this Saturday, July 30th

The Civitan ClubCunningham, TN – The 103rd annual Lone Oak Picnic will be held Saturday, July 30th, 2011, in Cunningham, TN, from 9:00am to 3:00pm featuring old time BBQ, political speeches, gospel and bluegrass music, inflatables, and car show. Location is between Highway 13 and Alonzo Place, just west of the Hwy 48/13 split.

The Lone Oak Picnic is a tradition dating back to 1908, and once again Central Civitan Club is proud to host this wholesome, fun, community and family event. All are welcome.
