Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University will celebrate Homecoming 2012 with the theme, “True Colors.”

Homecoming is October 24th-27th. Here is a list of events planned as part of the week long celebration. Many of the events are open to the public.

Some of the events include a Student Talent Show, Golf Tournament, Alumni Receptions, 5K Run, Homecoming Parade, Homecoming Football game and so much more.

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of October.

On October 9th-11th, the Chamber will be hosting a Membership Event to help spread the word of the value and importance of being a part of the local Chamber. Over the two and a half day drive, over 100 volunteers will race against the clock and each other to sign up new Chamber members all while creating awareness for the organization. Jenkins and Wynne to hold Ford Test Drive Fundraiser for Manna Café Ministries

Jenkins and WynneClarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries will take part in a Jenkins and Wynne Ford Test Drive Fundraiser on Wednesday, October 17th. Volunteers, with valid driver’s license, are needed to sign up to test drive a vehicle courtesy of Jenkins and Wynne on October 17th from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the lower parking lot of Riverview Inn, 50 College Street.

Each test drive will take approximately 15 minutes and Manna Café Ministries will receive $20.00 for each test drive, up to $6,000! [Read more]

Riverfest Riverside Drive Lane Closures and Park Information

2012 Riverfest - 25thClarksville, TN – There will be lane closures on Riverside Drive for Riverfest beginning September 6th continuing through September 9th. Traffic will be slower moving than usual during this time period, so we recommend drivers plan alternate routes or give themselves plenty of time to travel to their destination.

McGregor Park will be closed to the public on Wednesday, September 5th at daybreak in preparation for the festival. No admission will be charged to enter the park during the festival on September 7th and 8th. [Read more]
