16th annual Frolic on Franklin to be held Saturday, September 17th

Clarksville, TN – Historic Downtown Clarksville is gearing up for the 16th annual Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts on Saturday, September 17th, from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Coordinated by the Roxy Regional Theatre, this free event will showcase the works of over two dozen artists, staged entertainment and art demonstrations — all along the 100 block of Franklin Street.

Clarksville, TN – Every Saturday in June, the Clarksville Transit System is offering free rides.
“We have so many loyal customers and we want to show them our appreciation,” said Arthur Bing of the Clarksville Transit System. “It is CTS’ 27th anniversary and we want to thank our everyday customers and welcome new riders.”

Austin Peay State University’s online gallery launches new “From Here” exhibit

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s online art gallery, www.terminalapsu.org, is pleased to announce the launch of the 2011-12 Terminal Award-winning “From Here,” an art project by Joel Swanson and Ben Jacobson. Terminal gives out four awards yearly to artists or artist teams to help in the completion of Internet-based art works.
“From Here” is a networked art project that explores the inherit ambiguity of language, in particular adjectival nouns of place. [Read more]
