2020 Miss Tennessee USA Pageant Tickets Now on Sale

Clarksville, TN – On October 10th-12th, 2019 delegates from around the state will adorn Clarksville for the 2020 Miss Tennessee USA® and Miss Tennessee Teen USA® Pageants at the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Music and Mass Communications Building. Organized and produced by Greenwood Productions, the upcoming pageant marks Clarksville’s 20th year to host the event.

APSU, CMCSS receive a $30,000 grant from The Japan Foundation

Clarksville, TN – Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Consul-General of Japan, presented President Alisa White of Austin Peay State University (APSU) and Director Millard L. House II of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) with a $30,000 grant to support the institutions’ innovative Japanese language partnership during a gathering at President White’s home this week.

Fort Defiance Civil War Park offers chance to Explore History

Montgomery County Archives Department to hold Open Houses in October

Montgomery County, TN – In recognition of Archives Month this October, Montgomery County Archives Department has open house dates to tour and learn more about their unique services.
Three open house tours of the stacks and a behind the scenes look at what goes into caring for the history of Clarksville and Montgomery County will be available on Friday, October 11th, 9:00am to 3:00pm, Saturday, October 19th, 9:00am to 4:00pm, and Tuesday, October 29th, from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Swan Lake Golf Course bunkers get facelift

Clarksville, TN – The bunkers at Swan Lake Golf Course — one of Clarksville’s most popular golf courses — have received a facelift.
The course’s four bunkers were rebuilt using the industry-leading Better Billy Bunker linerless bunker system, which provides a new drainage structure topped by pristine white championship sand.
Swan Lake Golf Course is an 18-hole, 6,065-yard course near Dunbar Cave State Natural Area.
Henry and Monika Bowman Endowed Scholarship will support APSU students studying mathematics and economics
