Casey, a 19th Amendment expert, will give the 2020 Betty Joe Wallace Memorial Lecture in rooms 303-305 of the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Morgan University Center. Casey particularly focuses on the 72-year struggle for women to be included in the U.S. Constitution.

Clarksville Christmas Parade delights thousands

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s 60th annual Christmas parade, hosted by the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government, took place Saturday, December 7th, 2019 delighting thousands as it worked its way from the APSU campus through the streets of downtown.

Leading this year’s parade, which featured about 180 entries, was the family of the late Mike Robinson. His wife Rhonda, and children Bryce, Bayleigh and Carly, were this year’s grand marshals. A beloved local music legend and family man, Mike Robinson lost his long battle with cancer in August of 2019.

SpiritFest kicks off Christmas Season in Downtown Clarksville

Clarksville's SpiritfestClarksville, TN – Downtown Commons, along with First Presbyterian Church and Trinity Episcopal Church teamed up once again to bring SpiritFest to downtown Clarksville.

2019 marked the fifth year of the event which precedes the annual Clarksville Christmas Parade. Guests were invited to come downtown early and enjoy a variety of activities.

APSU, University of Memphis form 3+3 agreement for Law Degree

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Political Science and Public Management recently established an agreement with the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law to provide a six-year path to obtain a law degree.

APSU unveils vision for new Health Professions Building

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On Friday morning, Austin Peay State University (APSU) unveiled its vision for a new Health Professions Building that will one day consolidate the University’s growing healthcare-related programs under one roof.

Those programs include the School of Nursing and the departments of allied health sciences, health and human performance, psychological science and counseling and social work.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Community School of the Arts (CSA) at Austin Peay State University (APSU) has announced the hiring of a new coordinator – Dawn Martin Dickins.

Dickins, a visual artist with a concentration in drawing, has worked for the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA, or “seek-ah”) at Austin Peay State University for two years as the programs manager.
