Gateway Chamber Orchestra to take part in The Big Payback

Clarksville, TN – Gateway Chamber Orchestra is once again participating in The Big Payback, a 24-hour, online giving event created to help Middle Tennessee nonprofits raise funds vital to continuing their work and directly improving the community around them. This is the fourth year that Gateway Chamber Orchestra is taking part in the event.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to hold Virtual 5K

Clarksville, TN – Whether you’re already active, looking to get off the couch, or just want to stay indoors, this newest Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department event is for you.
Beginning at 5:00pm on April 24th, 2020, registration will open for the first-ever Clarksville Parks and Recreation Virtual 5k. The event is designed to allow participants to choose between three varying distances. Participants can complete their run anywhere and anytime between April 24th, 2020 and May 24th, 2020.
Runners are encouraged to use Liberty Park or the Clarksville Greenway, as mile markers will be placed at those parks within the next week.

Thrive Creative Group Wins Best Bank Website Award

Clarksville, TN – Thrive Creative Group, LLC has won the Best Bank Website for Legends Bank in the 2020 Internet Advertising Competition. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition.
Judging is based on the entered creative using seven criteria; design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation, and content.

Sales from the online store support Habitat for Humanity’s affordable housing program
Clarksville, TN – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Tennessee (HFHMCTN) has launched an online retail store (shopclarksvillerestore.org) to sell donated items, focusing on home goods, furniture, and building supplies.
The Clarksville ReStore is a critical revenue source for the Clarksville-based housing ministry. Since closing in March due to COVID-19 Coronavirus, Habitat developed the online platform to fund its home building programs for low-income families in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

Volunteers Mary Jocelyn and Luke Dahlen help stage donated items for the Clarksville ReStore’s new online platform. The ReStore serves as the main revenue source for Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County. Customers can now visit shopclarksvillerestore.org to shop for items sold at the nonprofit retailer.
