Clarksville, TN – The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is ready to celebrate summer.
The Museum is participating in four different ongoing programs and events to provide free or reduced admission to members of the community – Blue Star Museums, Museums for All, Fifth Saturday Donation Day, and monthly First Thursday Art Walks.
APSU Honors Program to offer special biblical history and archeology class this fall

CTS to offer free summer rides for youth

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) and the City of Clarksville are offering free summer transportation to young people to help them engage in summer jobs and enrichment programs.
CTS will offer the Summer Youth Free Ride Program from June 1st to August 31st to youth 18 and under with a valid CTS Youth or Student ID.
Clarksville Artist Scene will host Meet and Greet, June 10th

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Artist Scene will hold its first Meet and Greet for local artists to gather, provide mutual support and explore opportunities to collaborate.
The event will be held Thursday, June 10th from 5:00pm-6:00pm at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore at 404 Madison Street in Downtown Clarksville
Organizer Jackie Lewis says the meeting is open to artists in all mediums. “Whether you’re a musician, a visual artist, a writer, an actor/actress, or any other form of art, you are welcome to join us. This is a chance to unite the creative community of Clarksville.”

APSU Military Community’s Fall 2021 set to be Busy, Celebratory Year

Clarksville, TN – For years, Austin Peay State University (APSU) has been Tennessee’s leading provider of higher education to military-affiliated students, with about 25 percent of enrolled APSU students having a military connection. This fall, Austin Peay State University will continue to embrace its support of the military through several new programs, celebrations, and scholarships.

Hilltop Supermarket’s 2021 Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook-Off was biggest competition to date

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 17th, Hilltop Supermarket held the 2021 Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook-Off. The weather was just right, a little overcast with a slight breeze.
This year was the biggest cook-off yet with 22 teams in the field. The teams competed for trophies and cash prizes.
This event is held every year to honor Dwayne Byard who passed away a few years ago.

Roxy Regional Theatre’s “Back to the Movies” showings for the Summer
