Clarksville, TN – Harrison Ford is the President of the United States in the next installment of our film series, one of the most popular action thrillers of the 1990s. Get Back to the Movies at the Roxy Regional Theatre with “Air Force One” this Friday, July 16th at 7:00pm.
After making a speech in Moscow vowing to never negotiate with terrorists, President James Marshall (Harrison Ford) boards Air Force One with his family and advisers. When a group of Russian neo-nationalist terrorists led by Ivan Korshunov (Gary Oldman) hijacks the flight, the President’s principles are put to the test.
Tennessee General Assembly honors Songwriter Bobby Keel of Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Members of the Tennessee General Assembly have honored Clarksville songwriter Bobby Keel for his “many contributions to country music and the craft of songwriting.”
The Joint House Resolution was sponsored by Representative Curtis Johnson, R-Clarksville, and unanimously approved by the House and Senate in March.

Clarksville holds annual Independence Day Celebration

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville hosted its annual Independence Day celebration at Liberty Park on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 with music, food trucks, lots of vendors and activities, and a fantastic fireworks show to end the evening.
Thousands came out to participate in the free event hosted by Clarksville Parks and Recreation. Gates opened at 5:00pm and music began at 6:45pm. This year’s opening act was Jay Ammo. “He is excellent,” Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Event Planning Supervisor, Kali Mayes said. “Jay is a local talent, currently in the military and stationed at Fort Campbell. He is celebrating his fifth anniversary of coming to America from Guyana.”

Clarksville Regional Airport obtains Donald Stanton as its first Designated Pilot Examiner

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Regional Airport is very proud of the multitude of flight schools, flight students, and flight instructors it attracts especially since the airport has obtained its very first Designated Pilot Examiner [DPE], Mr. Donald Stanton.
Mr. Stanton has been a Clarksville resident since 1966 and is currently an adjunct faculty member for Austin Peay State University (APSU) in their aviation sciences department.
