Band of all-stars will rock the Riverfest main stage at McGregor Park
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Park and Recreation Department today announced that Generation Radio, a supergroup featuring legendary musicians from Rascal Flatts, Journey and Chicago, will be the featured act at the 33rd annual Riverfest celebration at McGregor Park.
This year’s festival, back after a pandemic-related hiatus in 2020, will be September 9th-11th.

After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, Gordie Lachance (Wil Wheaton), Vern Tessio (Jerry O’Connell), Chris Chambers (River Phoenix) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives.
Loaves and Fishes to hold Second John Waddle Memorial Shoot

Clarksville, TN – After a year’s hiatus, the John Waddle Memorial Shoot will return to Montgomery County at 9:00am on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 with proceeds benefiting Clarksville’s Loaves and Fishes.
The local non-profit, which serves an average of 150 meals a day to anyone who is hungry, hosted the inaugural shoot in 2019 to honor the late John Waddle. The local homebuilder was known in the community for his passion for clay shooting and his love and support of Loaves and Fishes.

The 2nd Annual John Waddle Memorial Shoot to benefit Loaves and Fishes is set for Saturday, August 14th.

Food trucks will be onsite during the concert, but guests may also bring their own food or coolers along with lawn chairs or blankets. The concert begins at 6:00pm.

Austin Peay celebrates 90 years of Residence Life

Clarksville, TN – In the fall of 1931, Austin Peay Normal School students eagerly watched construction crews put the finishing touches on an impressive new dormitory.
The Myra McKay Harned Hall, with its “columns and polish marble floors,” would soon become the centerpiece of a young campus crowded with old, deteriorating academic buildings, left over from the defunct schools – Stewart College and Montgomery County Masonic College – that once occupied the Austin Peay grounds.
