Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is located in Historic Downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Come explore an entire city block featuring large gallery spaces filled with fine art, science, and history.
Some of the events in December at the Museum are Familiars: Celebrating Our Korean Culture, The Infirmary, New to the Museum Collection, Jim Diehr: Visual Songs;Many Verses, Interactions: Paintings by Judy Lavoie, Little Explorers: Winter Wonderland.

Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for December 18th-19th, 2021

Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Park has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.
The upcoming events are: History of Dunbar Cave, Coil Pottery, Dunbar Cave In The Civil War, and Our Cultural Landscape.

Clarksville, TN – You experienced the Roxy Regional Theatre’s live theatrical production of “It’s A Wonderful Life:: The Musical” … now watch the 1946 film that inspired it! For our final film of 2021, Planters Bank Presents… Frank Capra’s “It’s A Wonderful Life” at the Roxy this Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at 8:00pm.
With the endearing message that “no one is a failure who has friends,” Frank Capra’s heartwarming masterpiece continues to endure, and after 75 years this beloved film still remains as powerful and moving as the day it was made.
The film “It’s A Wonderful Life” is to play this Sunday at the Roxy Regional Theatre as part of the Planters Bank Presents … film series.
Paul Harmon’s Petite Voyage Comes to the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center

Clarksville, TN – Over the course of 2020, Tennessee artist Paul Harmon created more than 100 works all under the size of ten inches.
Most of these small oil paintings are making their debut in the Planters Bank Peg Harvill Gallery of the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center this month.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Annual Christmas Light Run set for Saturday at McGregor Park

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host its third-annual Christmas Light Run, presented by Fleet Feet, from 4:30pm-6:00pm on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at McGregor Park.
Due to the running event, the Christmas on the Cumberland light display will delay its opening until 6:00pm. The public will not be allowed access to McGregor Park until that time.
Additionally, motorists should be aware that the Christmas Light Run 5K route takes runners across Riverside Drive under the pedestrian bridge and through downtown Clarksville.
Clarksville’s Annual Christmas Light Run is to be held this Saturday.

Clarksville’s Christmas Parade brings holiday cheer to Downtown

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Lighted Christmas Parade returned to the streets of Downtown Clarksville on Saturday, as thousands came out to watch local marching bands, and an array of floats portraying this year’s theme, Gingerbread House.
Prior to the start of the parade, the Downtown Commons ice rink was packed with skaters, Santa Claus visited with families near a giant Christmas tree, and First Presbyterian Church hosted its Sixth Annual SpiritFest.

Jim Diehr Brings His Artistic Journeys to the Customs House Museum with “Visual Songs, Many Verses”

Clarksville, TN – Now through the end of January, the Crouch gallery of the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center is filled with more than 100 pieces of art.
Sculptures, paintings, and pottery all incorporate blue figures, clouds, and woodland creatures from the imagination of local artist Jim Diehr.
