Clarksville, TN – A jaded Hank Williams Jr. fan, a man basking in the glow of the morning after, a Middle Eastern immigrant seeking a room to rent, a middle-aged man with a fear of spiders and dentists — these are just a handful of the various characters who will take the stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre’s theotherspace this month.
For three nights only, beginning March 19th, four original one-acts by area playwright Darren V. Michael will be treated to a readers theatre production in “Brief Encounters: A Night of Short Plays”.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s new Fly Fishing program for youth and teens has a few spots left

Clarksville, TN – Do you like fishing? Are you interested in aquatic environments? Clarksville Parks and Recreation has teamed up with the National Fishing in Schools Program to offer a class in basic fly fishing and spots are still available!

Clarksville, TN – Next week, the focus will be on the Fed’s policy decision and Janet Yellen’s first press briefing as Fed chair. The Federal Open Market Committee is expected to taper the monthly pace of asset purchases by another $10 billion (to $55 billion).
Policymakers are also expected to tweak the language of the forward guidance (the Fed’s conditional commitment to keep the overnight lending rate exceptionally low). Specifically, we can expect the FOMC to discard the 6.5% unemployment rate threshold.

Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity chapters at the University of Alabama, the University of Mississippi, Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, were all vying to be named the best chapter in the southern region.

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Gateway Medical Center. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.
