Mic Check Monday features Gospel Groups July 8th

Clarksville, TN – On July 8th, 2019, the free Mic Check Monday concert series will feature three Gospel groups and a spoken word artist at Downtown Commons. Concerts will take place each Monday in July.
Opening the event at 6:00pm is the Send Judah. Lead Singer Danita Batista has been singing for over 30 years.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Montgomery Gentry to headline Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is pleased to announces that Montgomery Gentry will be the headliner for Riverfest 2019. Riverfest, the City of Clarksville’s arts and entertainment festival, is now in its 32nd year.
Montgomery Gentry will perform at 9:15pm Saturday, September 7th on the Miller Lite Stage at McGregor Park. The concert is free and open to the public.

Tour Christopher Columbus’ Niña, Pinta at Clarksville’s McGregor Park

Clarksville, TN – Replicas of Christopher Columbus’ ships the Niña and Pinta are currently docked at Clarksville’s McGregor Park. Tours are going on daily from now until Sunday, July 7th, 2019.
Climb aboard and step back in time for a feel of what it was like aboard one of these caravel ships as Columbus’ brave crew sailed the Atlantic to the new world in 1492.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) graduate student Claire Ciafre captured a video on June 4th of three cottonmouth males fighting it out near Huntsville, Alabama.
The video starts with two cottonmouths jockeying in an Alabama swamp. Their heads sway above the water, each snake trying to find the best position.

Four Generals Who Help Austin Peay State University Excel

Clarksville, TN – When Austin Peay State University (APSU) was visited by outgoing Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, Haslam asked the school’s Board of Trustees what he should tell his successor about the University. Don Jenkins, a trustee, immediately mentioned Austin Peay’s military focus.

Clarksville Transit System celebrates Independence Day with Free Rides July 3rd
