Clarksville, TN – On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019, Austin Peay State University (APSU) kicked off its inaugural Science on Tap – a monthly lecture series that unites two great things, science and local brews – at Strawberry Alley Ale Works.

Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic Helps Make Marriage Work for Military Families

On the unbearable hot morning of August 26th, 1920, anyone fanning themselves with that day’s Nashville Tennessean newspaper saw a frontpage photo of Gov. A. H. Roberts signing the state’s passage of the 19th Amendment.
“A Chorus Line” to Kick Off Season 37 at the Roxy Regional Theatre, September 6 – September 28

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is high-stepping into Season 37 of live entertainment on the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville with a stunning concept musical capturing the spirit and tension of a Broadway chorus audition.
“A Chorus Line” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, September 6th, 2019 at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

APSU, Google to lead drone-building workshops in preview of new InnovaTN Games at Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – On September 7th, Austin Peay State University (APSU), the City of Clarksville and Google will team up at Clarksville’s annual Riverfest Celebration to host a preview of the InnovaTN Games, a hands-on engineering competition designed to get young people excited about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

Take, for instance, his description of a hypernova (which is basically supernova’s bigger and more energetic brother that forms a black hole inside its starry shell): “It becomes what we call a self-eating watermelon, the black hole eats the star from the inside out.”

City of Clarksville set to construct Pedestrian Bridge over Red River

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville has announced that it will complete a 10-mile hiking and biking trail linking the City’s downtown riverfront with Northeast Clarksville.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced Clarksville will receive a $1.82 million federal Transportation Alternatives Project grant for construction of a pedestrian bridge over the Red River.
