Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 11th Annual Rivers & Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville. The following streets will be closed:
Wednesday, April 17th Beginning at 7:00am- Public Square in front of F&M Bank
Thursday, April 18th Beginning at 7:00am– All of Public Square,Franklin Street from First Street to Public Square First Street from Franklin Street to Main Street and Strawberry Alley

Clarksville, TN – Citizens and visitors across Clarksville are invited to ride Clarksville Transit System (CTS) buses for free all day long on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6th. For route and schedule information, please visit www.ridects.com.
“We’re offering this free ride day on Election Day for a couple of reasons,” says Jimmy Smith, CTS Director. “First, we want to encourage all of our citizens to get out and vote, because voting is a valuable right and a privilege. Clarksville, TN – Well over 20,000 people jammed the banks of the Cumberland River as the City of Clarksville held their annual Independence Day Celebration last night. This celebration of patriotism is one of the most popular events hosted by the city each year.

Clarksville Transit System offers “Operation Safe Ride”

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System will offer “Operation Safe Ride” on New Year’s Eve again this year.
The free service is open to anyone who is too impaired to drive home. People who live within the city’s limits can call for a ride between the hours of 11:00pm and 4:00am for a ride home. [Read more]
Clarksville Transit System to provide Transportation for Christmas Celebration

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System will provide “added service” transportation to the 4th Annual Warm Souls Christmas event provided by the Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries. The celebration will take place on December 24th, 2011 from noon to 4:00pm.
“We are very happy that the Clarksville Transit System is able to provide this added service transportation to this great community event through its existing routes,” said Mayor Kim McMillan. The Mayor is planning to ride one of the buses to the event. [Read more]
