APSU Ranger Challenge team sets sights on strong Bold Warrior Challenge

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) ROTC Ranger Challenge team will try to make the podium for the second straight year at the 7th Brigade ROTC Bold Warrior Challenge October 25th-27th, 2019 at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Black Hawk helicopters to land at APSUy on October 30th and November 1st

Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, October 30th, four UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters will land on the Austin Peay State University (APSU) campus for a special, joint training exercise between the University’s Governors Guard ROTC program and the Tennessee National Guard.

APSU graduate students sweep awards at State Communication Conference

Clarksville, TN – Two Austin Peay State University (APSU) graduate students recently swept the graduate paper awards at the Kentucky Communication Association/Tennessee Communication Association State Conference at Lake Barkley, Kentucky.

Trio of APSU ROTC students graduates from Air Assault School

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Governors Guard ROTC sent three of its students to the Sabalauski Air Assault School at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, this summer.
Communication major Jasmine Barrios, history graduate student Brandon Dickinson and computer information systems major Jertil Robinson attended the renowned school.

APSU’s new signature study abroad program sending students to live in Victorian manor outside of London

Earn more credit hours over the holiday break with APSU’s winter term

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s spring classes begin January 21st, 2020, but students wanting to get a jump-start on that semester can start taking a few courses a month earlier, on December 14th, 2019. That’s when the APSU’s winter term begins, allowing students to complete up to two online classes in only four weeks.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Clarksville BBQ Bash winners

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosted Clarksville’s third annual Clarksville BBQ Bash on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at Liberty Park.
The BBQ Bash included a full barbecue competition, people’s choice, cornhole tournament, artisan vendors and kids activities.
Barbeque Competition: Nineteen competitors from near and far met on the banks of the Cumberland River this weekend to see who had the best barbeque. A team of judges evaluated barbeque in three categories (pork, chicken, ribs) based on the following criteria: taste, appearance, and texture.
