Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Southeastern Grasslands Initiative (SGI) and Quail Forever officially signed a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) December 6th, 2019.

Ann Ross establishes Lisa Dahin Ross Endowed Fund of Excellence in Nursing for Austin Peay State University students

Clarksville, TN – Retired Austin Peay State University (APSU) staff member Ann Ross recently made a generous donation to the APSU Foundation to establish the Lisa Dahin Ross Endowed Fund of Excellence in Nursing to honor the memory of her late daughter.

APSU’s Community School of the Arts Announces Open House on January 25th

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, January 25th, 2020, the Community School of the Arts (CSA) at Austin Peay State University (APSU) will host an open house from 2:00pm-5:00pm in the Art + Design Building on campus.
The event is free and no registration is required.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation seeks Filmmakers for Clarksville Film Festival

Clarksville, TN – Do you dream of being a Hollywood director? Do you have a talent for cinematography? Clarksville Parks and Recreation is looking for you and your team to compete in the Clarksville Film Festival, sponsored by CDE Lightband.
“We know Clarksville has some amazing artists and we’re really hoping to see their talents,” said Maggie Houts, Event Planning Specialist for Clarksville Parks and Recreation. “It doesn’t matter if you have the best gear or just your phone. We are looking for filmmakers who can create a captivating story in 52 hours or less.”

Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is located in historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Come explore an entire city block featuring large gallery spaces filled with fine art, science and history.
Some of the events in January at the Museum are: Tennessee Women of Glass, Sher Fick: Imitation of Life, Tom Malone: Works on Paper from the Museum Collection, and Reimagined Lore: The Art of Tara Swalgren.
Cops on Ice set for January 3rd

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, January 3rd, 2020, Cops on Ice will be held at the Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville.
Come out from 6:00pm-9:00pm and skate with our Clarksville Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Austin Peay Police Department.
Ticket prices are $10.00 for children 12 and under. Adult tickets are $12.00 and Government employees / APSU ID tickets are $10.00.
