Public Square will be Closed Off
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th, the Fireball Run Adventurally will be in Clarksville, TN as part of their 2,500 mile race and scavenger hunt.
Everyone in the community is encouraged to come out to Public Square, Downtown Clarksville, on Thursday around 4:00pm and on Friday at 9:00am to see the cars and meet the participants. This is a great opportunity to bring the whole family out to see cars that range from custom Camaros to vintage classics. Faith Outreach Church Presents “Warriors Youth Basketball League”

Clarksville, TN – Warriors Youth Basketball League is a co-ed youth league for grades K-8th. This league is designed to create a safe environment for youth to learn and enjoy the game of basketball.
The pastors of Faith Outreach Church, Drs. William and Ginger Luffman are dedicated to serving the community and as a result have opened this league to Clarksville/Montgomery County and surrounding areas. New Scholarship at APSU Honors Longtime Educator Patricia Hancock Richardson

Clarksville, TN – In the spring of 2010, two years into her battle with cancer, Patricia Hancock Richardson reminded her husband, James, of an errand he needed to run.
“She said, ‘make sure you get our basketball and football season tickets,’” James Richardson remembered. “ She told me, ‘We’re going to every game.’”
Patricia, known by her friends as Patty, had rooted for the Austin Peay State University Governors since the early 1950s, when she was a varsity cheerleader at the school. In the years that followed, she became a fixture at most home games, cheering on the Governors during good seasons and bad. So that spring, James listened to his wife and bought the tickets. City receives state approval to perform its own Electrical Inspections

Clarksville, TN – From 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, September 24th, Nashville’s 103 WKDF was in Clarksville doing a live remote at the Sudden Service convenience store located on Hwy 48/13 at 109 Dean Road to help them promote their “Jet Away Getaway to Vegas”.
Sudden Service Convenience Stores, Coors Light, Miller Lite and 103 WKDF have teamed up to send a someone to Las Vegas for a weekend jet away along with $500.00 in spending cash.

For curator Ally Reeves the words, “Let them eat cake,” attributed to an oblivious Queen Marie Antoinette, spring to mind, though with an added twist. Investor Fears Spark U.S., World Market Selloffs

Clarksville, TN – A steady drip of weak economic performance figures from around the globe combined with a grim assessment of near-term U.S. economic prospects pushed investor confidence over the edge Thursday. Some Asian and European markets lost as much as 5% of their value. U.S. markets dropped similarly during the day, although losses diminished somewhat as trading drew to a close.
For the record, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 391.01 points or 3.51% to finish the day at 10,733.80, while the broader S&P 500 dropped 37.2 points or 3.19%, to close at 1,129.56. The Nasdaq declined 82.52 points or 3.52% and closed at 2,455.67. This followed significant losses in all the indices in the previous trading session.
