Clarksville, TN – Ricky Steven Young Jr., the Founder and Artistic Director of the Fronkensteen Experimental Theatre Group announces that they will be holding their first ever open submissions by local playwrights.
“Open Submissions open the doors to everyone in the community to share their work to us,” says Young, “Fresh voices always make for greater theatre and it has been our mission to share those voices with the community.” Any playwrights that send in a new play to Fronkensteentheater@gmail.com by November 30th are guaranteed to have their work considered for its next season. Inspect a Career Day at Miller-Motte Technical College

Clarksville, TN – High School students getting ready for their future and adults wanting to change their careers will get the opportunity to “inspect” a career at Miller-Motte on Saturday, November 5th, 2011.
Miller-Motte will open its doors at 10:00am with faculty and staff answering questions and demonstrating skills used in careers available after finishing one of the programs offered at Miller-Motte Technical College. [Read more]
City of Clarksville announces Fall Debris Clean Up 2011

Clarksville, TN – Mayor Kim McMillan has announced that the city of Clarksville Street Department will begin picking up yard debris, leaves and limbs, November 1st-November 27th, 2011.
Yard debris, such as leaves must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or cardboard boxes and placed near the street. [Read more]

Directed by John McDonald, “A Tale of Two Cities” stars Michael Mizwicki and Jonathan Reed Wexler as Sydney Carton and Charles Darnay, the English lawyer and French aristocrat caught up inextricably in the violence and bloodshed of the Revolution. 12th Annual Halloween “Candy Buy Back” to support area charities in Clarksville-Montgomery County

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Dental Center (CDC) is holding its 12th annual “Candy Buy Back”. The doctors say the reasons are many, in addition to the fact that one never knows exactly what is in your child’s bag.”All that sugar hurts the child’s teeth and puts on body weight as well” says Dr. Edington.
The doctors at CDC are offering $1.00 per pound of candy, and they will match that dollar with another dollar to be donated to a Clarksville/Montgomery County charity.

Clarksville, TN – The 3rd Annual Fright on Franklin, presented by City of Clarksville and Planter’s Bank, will once again offer safe trick-or-treating.
Local businesses will line the streets in Downtown Clarksville on Saturday, October 29th to pass out candy.
Fright on Franklin activities will begin at 4:00pm with the Costume Contest kicking off at 5:00pm.
