Austin Peay State University to host Great STEM Challenge Exposition on April 3rd

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Center will host the Great STEM Challenge Exposition from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on April 3rd in the campus’ Dunn Center.

The University’s science, engineering and mathematics faculty will interview the student teams from STEM classes in local elementary and middle schools. [Read more]

Indoor Aquatic Center to host “Wettest Egg Hunts”

Indoor Aquatic Center - New ProvidenceClarksville, TN – New this year, the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, has partnered with Sango Pool & Spa and the YMCA to host two not-so-typical egg hunts.

Rivers and Spires Festival 2012Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival is pleased to announce Austin Peay State University Junior, Lucas Freeze as the winner of the 2013 Festival Poster Design project.

Freeze was a part of a class project, through the APSU Design Center, that came up with several comps of artwork for the 2013 Festival poster.

COGS / Riverside Bicycle racers take 1st, 2nd places

COGS Mountain Bike ClubClarksville, TN – Eight racers from COGS / Riverside Bicycle racing team competed in the Chickasaw Trace Classic mountain bike race in Columbia, TN.

The 17th annual event was held Sunday, March 25th and featured races for over 300 riders of different age groups and skill levels. COGS / Riverside Bicycle had four riders in the podium ceremony.

Austin Peay State University student to study physics at Louvre in Paris this summer

When it comes to restoring priceless works, identifying forgeries or discovering long lost masterpieces painted over centuries ago, curators at the world’s top museums and galleries turn to their colleagues in the sciences for help.

This summer, officials at the Louvre Museum in Paris might look to Austin Peay State University physics student Drew Kerr to assist them in making discoveries about the famed works in their collection.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and the Downtown Clarksville Association businesses celebrate National Walk in a Park Day
