In many cases, eyewitness testimony leads to an easy conviction, but according to Dr. Emily Pica, Austin Peay State University (APSU) assistant professor of psychology, that testimony is sometimes misleading or completely inaccurate.

Clarksville Downtown Market to hold Frontline Heroes Appreciation Day this Saturday

APSU alumna establishes Jackson-Hardin Education Endowed Scholarship for APSU students

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) alumna Dr. Carlette Hardin recently made a generous donation to the Austin Peay State University Foundation to establish the Jackson-Hardin Education Endowed Scholarship for APSU students.
The scholarship was created in memory of Hardin’s parents, Carl and Cora Belle Jackson.
APSU releases safety guidelines for employee, student return to campus

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) COVID-19 Task Force recently released guidelines outlining how faculty, staff, students and visitors can safely return to campus. On March 23rd, the University moved all classes fully online and the majority of employees began working remotely in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Customs House Museum Celebrates 36th Anniversary and Joins Nationwide Program, Museums for All

Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum reopened to the public on June 2nd, 2020m, and in an effort to include and welcome all members of the community, the Museum has joined Museums for All, a nationwide program that supports those receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits.
The program offers visitors reduced admission fees with a presentation of the SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to open Two Pools, June 20th

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will reopen Swan Lake Swimming Pool and Bel-Aire Swimming Pool on June 20th, 2020 restoring another summer tradition delayed this year by the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.
“We know how much everyone misses the pools, and we’ve been doing everything we can to shape a safe reopening plan,” said Kimberly Gilbert, Aquatics Superintendent for Clarksville Parks and Recreation.
Movies in the Park to return June 13th

Clarksville, TN – Are you missing the movie theater? Looking for a safe way to get out of the house for some quality family time? The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the return of Movies in the Park presented by Kyrstin Frate with Keller Williams.
The first event will be the movie Black Panther on Saturday, June 13th, 2020 at the Liberty Park Athletic Field, near the playground. The movie will begin at sunset, which is around 8:00pm.
