Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement changes Hours starting July 10th

Clarksville, TN – Starting Friday, July 10th, 2020, Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement will be open Friday-Saturday, 11:00am – 4:00pm and Sunday, 1:00pm– 4:00pm.
Tours are self-guided and self-paced. Visitors receive a map at the Visitor Center.

Clarksville, TN – On a sunny but chilly January afternoon, Austin Peay State University (APSU) physics students sent a high-altitude balloon 93,000 feet into the stratosphere.
The balloon carried an important student experiment, but the payload also included two special guests: two containers that contained Cascade hops.

Customs House Museum Reopens Huff & Puff Express Model Trains
Clarksville, TN – All aboard! The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is expanding its reopening plan and will now be open on Sundays beginning July 12th, 2020 from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
COVID-19 Coronavirus safety guidelines are still in place including recommending guests wear face masks, reserve their time tickets before visiting and utilize hand sanitizer stations around the Museum. While walk-ins are welcome, there are a limited number of tickets available per day.

APSU history graduate lands prestigious scholarship at Polish university

Clarksville, TN – A Gov is going to Poland’s prestigious Jagiellonian University in Krakow at the end of September. Nicholas Herrud, a recent Austin Peay State University (APSU) history graduate and Spring Hill, Tennessee, native, will begin his Master of Arts focusing on Polish studies.
APSU moves 2020 Homecoming to October 10th

APSU names environmental expert as campus’ new sustainability coordinator

Clarksville, TN – Olivia Herron, the organizer of Miami University’s popular 2020 RecycleMania competition, was recently named sustainability coordinator at Austin Peay State University (APSU). She will begin her new role on July 1st, 2020 overseeing all campus recycling, promoting the Great Green Idea to APSU students, leading the EcoGovs Project for staff and faculty and chairing the University’s Sustainable Campus Fee Committee.
