Clarksville Parks and Recreation hosts Cumberland Arts Experience at the Kleeman Center

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is offering another session of the new program, the Cumberland Arts Experience, at the Kleeman Community Center located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
The Cumberland Arts Experience will be held Saturday, February 23rd and will teach basic painting skills as participants paint along with an instructor to create a piece of art they can take home with them. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The sultry sounds of one of the most acclaimed vocalists of the 20th century will fill the Roxy Regional Theatre, February 8th through March 2nd, in the perennial favorite and beloved musical “Always…Patsy Cline”.
Taking the stage in tribute to the country music legend who died tragically in a plane crash at the height of her career is Jacque Clydesdale. Although currently based out of New York, Jacque has strong ties to Music City, originally being from Brentwood, Tennessee, and having performed as a soloist with the LA Pops Orchestra in a tribute honoring Diane Warren, singing Shania Twain’s famous “From This Moment” duet with Grammy Award Winner Bryan White.

Clarksville, TN – Tickets for the 36TH Annual Austin Peay State University Athletics Hall of Fame Breakfast are on sale through Tuesday.
The breakfast, slated for 9:00am, Saturday, February 9th, will see Governors baseball coach Gary McClure, longtime team physician Dr. Cooper Beazley and former basketball star, Andrew Lorentzson, who was selected through the new Honors category, inducted, becoming the 101st, 102nd and 103rd members of APSU’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Clarksville, TN – More than 25 businesses are teaming up to offer Clarksville’s first-ever Chocolate Affair, scheduled to take place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm Saturday, February 9th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
This new event, presented by the City of Clarksville and Planters Bank, will feature sweet and savory treats from both local businesses as well as some National brands like Goo Goo Clusters, Lindt, and Dove. Clarksville TN – A University of Rhode Island study funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), found the weight loss drug Orlistat, which goes by the prescription brand name Xenical and the over-the-counter name Alli, can cause “severe toxicity” to major internal organs.
