Clarksville, TN – My name is Brittany Glynn and I am a Publisher’s Representative with EDC Publishing based in Clarksville, TN.
EDC is the home of Usborne Books, 2014’s IPG Children’s Publisher of the year, and Kane-Miller books, an award-winning publisher out of California, and both are recognized as a premier supplier of educational tools and books by schools and libraries all of over the US.
From now through Thursday, July 28th, we are kicking off our Summer Charity Book Drive to help the local police department. Our Clarksville Police officers have currently faced a lot of hardships and we want to show our support to the police officers while helping out children in crisis.

Clarksville, TN – The economic data calendar was thin and reports were of little consequence for the markets. As expected, the European Central Bank left short-term interest rates unchanged and did not alter its asset purchase plans.
ECB President Draghi indicated that policymakers were encouraged by the financial stability following the initial reaction to the Brexit vote. He also said that more information will become available over time and the ECB would act using all possible tools “if needed.”

New franchisee Alan Grayson quietly took over operations of the locally owned, award-winning sign and visual graphics center earlier this year.
LEAP Youth hold Car Wash and Bake Sale fundraiser

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, July 22nd, LEAP Youth held a Car Wash and Bake Sale fundraiser from 11:00am until 2:00pm. The event was help behind LEAP Plaza located at 1860 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville.
A car wash was $5.00 and the bake sale goodies ranged from $0.50 to $2.00.
“We do a lot of outings with the kids to teach them that nothing is free in the world. So we had them put together a couple of fundraisers to help pay for the trips they will be going on throughout the year,” said Malcolm Luster, LEAP Counselor.
Clarksville Association of Realtors Raises Over $10k to “FUEL” Local School children

APSU Housing sees Significant Influx of Applications

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Office of Housing, Residence Live and Dining Services is experiencing one of the largest influxes of applications in the history of the University.
As a result of the increase, Joe Mills, assistant vice president and director of housing, has made arrangements with two local hotels in preparation for an overflow of students seeking campus housing.
Music In The Hollow concert to be held Sunday, August 28th
