Miss Tennessee USA Pageant Tickets Now on Sale

Clarksville, TN – More than 80 delegates will adorn Clarksville for the 2017 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageant on October 7th-8th, 2016 at the Austin Peay State University Music and Mass Communications Building.
Organized and produced by Greenwood Productions, the upcoming pageant marks Clarksville’s 18th year to host the event.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation, Gamez on Wheelz, and Game Stop Team Up for Teen Takeover

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host the 2nd Annual Teen Takeover, a night exclusively devoted to teens.
Teen Takeover will feature a video gaming area hosted by Game Stop, DJ entertainment, giveaways, food, human bubble balls, and plenty of room to relax and hang out with friends.
Clarksville Tree Board to hold Big Tree Contest

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Tree Board is happy to announce that they are starting a “Big Tree” contest, previously known as “Champion Tree”.
The contest aims to involve the public in developing our large tree inventory, while raising awareness of the benefits trees provide to our area.
Trees reduce air and water pollution and help increase the beauty and livability of our community.
SAFE Receives Grant from The Healing Trust

Clarksville, TN – Soldiers And Families Embraced (SAFE) recently received a grant from The Healing Trust, formerly Baptist Healing Trust, which awarded funds totaling over $1.1 Million in its most recent grant cycle.
SAFE’s grant was for $29,500 and will be used to provide counseling to military families. SAFE provides free, confidential, professional counseling to active duty military, veterans and their families.

Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance opens Fall 2016 season with “Picnic”

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance begins its Fall 2016 season with a production of William Inge’s “Picnic.” The play, which runs from September 28th through October 2nd, will be held in the Trahern Theatre on the University campus.
Clarksville’s Native American Cultural Circle to host 19th Annual Intertribal Powwow at Port Royal

The Intertribal Powwow will be held October 8th and 9th on the Powwow grounds located just outside of Port Royal State Park in Adams, TN.
