Clarksville, TN – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County Tennessee accepted a donation from Pastor Willie Lyle of the Sango United Methodist Church (UMC) this week from the proceeds of the 2011 Sango Scamper Road Race.

2012 Jingle Bell Jog

On Saturday, December 1st, 2012 downtown Clarksville was packed with over 429 runners adorned in Christmas themed outfits for the fourth annual Jingle Bell Jog. The City of Clarksville and Run for a Reason founded by Eddie Ferrell and Casey Jenkins hosted a one mile fun run and a 5k to raise money for a local charity.
This year all proceeds are going to The Food Initiative. The Food Initiative is a non-profit organization that hires high school students from Montgomery County and Fort Campbell to plant and harvest food for local organizations.

Go Commando Half Marathon donates $40,000 to Local Organizations

Clarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k presented by CDE Lightband announced Thursday they would donate $40,000 to local non-profits and community organizations. The largest recipients, Clarksville Area YMCA and Fort Campbell Historical Foundation were on hand to accept the donations.

2011 Go Commando winner offers advice for Runners

Clarksville, TN – Nearly a year ago, Daniel Hazelton crossed the finishline at the Go Commando Half Marathon powered by CDE Lightband and became the first winner of this annual event. Now, Hazelton offers training tips and advice to all those who plan to Go Commando on October 20th, 2012.
A seasoned runner, Hazelton had already participated in countless other races prior to the Go Commando Half Marathon on October 15th, 2011. While training for the 2011 race, he was also preparing for the Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C. As part of the Fort Campbell Ten Mile Team, Hazelton and his team won first place in the Active Duty Mixed Division. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k presented by CDE Lightband announced Tuesday they would donate $35,000 to local non-profits and community organizations. The largest recipients, Clarksville Area YMCA and Fort Campbell Historical Foundation were on hand to accept the donations.
“The intention of the Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k will always be to give back to the community; this money emphasizes that mission in a big way,” Channel Lemon, one of the Race Directors, stated.
