Clarksville Police Department K-9 Graduate

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, November 15th, 2013, Officer Keith Jones and his K-9 partner, Koda, graduated from the Southern Police Canine Inc. training in Nashville, NC.

Officer Jones, the handler, was trained to be well-versed in canine safety and health care, and legal updates and considerations. Handler training was subjected to numerous survival techniques.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, November 15th, 2013, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, the New Providence Community Policing Center (NPCPC) is hosting a Job Fair. There are multiple employers that will be attending this event.

Bring your résumé, photo ID, and Social Security card or birth certificate. Dress for success. Be prepared to complete job applications and to interview.

Clarksville Police Union “Clothe a Child” event Saturday

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 14th 2013, at the Sango Wal-Mart, at 8:00am, the Clarksville Police Union will be taking fifty under-privileged children clothes shopping. Each child will get to spend $100.00.

The children have been selected from 10 elementary schools spread throughout Montgomery County. The event will last no more than (1) one hour. Detective Tyler Barrett urges anyone to come out to assist and that the event should be fun for all involved.

Clarksville Police to increase Patrols Wednesday for beginning of School

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department will increase patrols in the morning and afternoon hours with the starting of School on Wednesday August 7th.

Officers will be ensuring that School Zone Speed Limits are obeyed and also that motorist remember to stop for school buses that are loading and unloading. Motorist must stop for school bus stop signs regardless of the size of the highway.

Liberty Park Remains Closed for Construction

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department would like to remind the public that because of continuing construction, Liberty Park remains closed.

The new four-lane boat ramp and two boat docks in the marina basin continue to be open on the regular weekend schedule, Fridays from 2:00pm to dusk, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am to 8:00pm. [Read more]

2011 Fireball Run AdventurallyClarksville, TN – The 2011 Fireball Run Adventurally will kick off their 2,500 mile excursion in Melbourne, FL this weekend. The cars will be rolling into Public Square, Downtown Clarksville, the afternoon of September 29th.

As soon as they make their initial stop in Clarksville, the around-town scavenger hunt will begin with all teams heading out to Beachaven Winery. From there, the teams will search out their first clue and then be off to the next local spot. During their stay here, don’t be surprised if you see some high-dollar foreign cars or even the Mayberry police car rolling around town. [Read more]

Please be aware of the continuing work at various parts of the park and yield to construction equipment traffic.
