Movies in the Park to show double feature Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the City of Clarksville’s free, outdoor movie series, continues Saturday, September 13th, at Liberty Park, located at 1190 Cumberland Drive.
‘Planes,’ rated PG, and brought to you by The Leaf-Chronicle will be shown at approximately 7:15pm (dependent on sunset).
Clarksville’s Riverfest Recycled Fashion Show was held Saturday

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 6th, 2014 the Recycled Fashion Show was held at Clarksville’s Riverfest Festival in the Adventure Zone.
Sponsored by Bi-County Waste Management, the event encouraged youth and adults to construct their fashions from nothing but recyclable items and materials.
There were two categories, Youth and Adult. The winners won cash prizes for their efforts.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s ‘Fun with Fido’ event series continues September 20th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation Department, Alicia’s Complete Holistic Petcare, and Gateway Realty/A+ Property Management introduced Fun with Fido, a new, event series to promote an active lifestyle for you and your four-legged family member in June.
The series will continue its season Saturday, September 20th at the Clarksville Downtown Market from 8:00am to 1:00pm on Public Square. Bring Fido for a day of shopping, crafts, give-a-ways, and more!
Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Youth Basketball League registration is underway

Clarksville, TN – Is your child interested in playing basketball this winter? Clarksville Parks and Recreation is proud to offer a Youth Basketball League for boys and girls ages 7 to 15.
The cost is $65.00 per player. Each player will receive a jersey, water bottle and award.

Handmade Holidays vendor applications are now available

Clarksville, TN – The Wilma Rudolph Event Center, located at Liberty Park, is currently seeking craft vendors to participate in Handmade Holidays.
This year’s two-day event is scheduled to take place Saturday, November 15th, 2014 from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday, November 16th, 2014 from noon to 4:00pm.

Riverfest 2014 to hold 1st Annual 52 Hour Film Festival presented by CDE Lightband this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest Celebration has added a new addition to it’s two-day music and arts festival scheduled for September 5th and 6th, 2014 at McGregor Park. The first annual 52-Hour Film Festival, presented by the Clarksville Department of Electricity, will take place Saturday, September 6th.
The 52 Hour Film Festival will put filmmakers from all over Middle Tennessee in a competition for a chance to win big!
