This weeks highlights include: Fright on Franklin, New Weight Loss and Weight Maintenance Program, “Art on the Park” contest winners and Maternity Aerobics.
Clarksville’s Kleeman Community Center, Indoor Aquatic Center plan to scare up fun and thrills at Spooky Spectacular Haunted Maze and Swim

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center and the Indoor Aquatic Center will be scaring up some Halloween fun with their second-annual Spooky Spectacular and Haunted Maze and Swim on Saturday, October 18th.
The Spooky Spectacular will be open from 2:00pm to 5:00pm with a Haunted Maze and Haunted Swim following from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at both facilities, located side-by-side at 166 Cunningham Lane.
Clarksville Park and Recreation’s Twilight Basketball Cancelled

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s new opportunity for basketball enthusiasts ages 18 and older, Twilight Basketball, scheduled to begin October 17th has been cancelled.

Clarksville, TN – Since its opening, the Clarksville Downtown Market has been a success- so much so that it was voted the number one market in Tennessee through America’s Farmland Trust, five years in a row!

The market will be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm, on Public Square.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Twilight Basketball offers opportunity through basketball starting October 17th

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s new opportunity for basketball enthusiasts ages 18 and older, Twilight Basketball, is set to begin October 17th!
Twilight Basketball will be held at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, on Fridays through December 12th. Games begin at 6:00pm and doors open at 5:30pm.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Crow Community Center begins new weight loss and weight maintenance program in November

American Farmland Trust’s I Love My Farmers Market Celebration
Clarksville, TN — After more than three months, American Farmland Trust’s 2014 I Love My Farmers Market Celebration came to a close and the Clarksville Downtown Market ranked number 19 in the Top 100 Most Celebrated in the Country – with 115 pledges collected.
Each week the I Love My Farmers Market Celebration encouraged shoppers to champion local family farmers by pledging to shop at their farmers markets each week. Nationally, shoppers pledged to spend $443,608.62 at farmers’ markets this season, putting funds directly into the pockets of family farmers.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces “Art on the Park” contest winners

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce the winners of this year’s “Art on the Park” contest.
The five finalists and grand prize winner will receive their framed artwork and the opportunity to paint their design on various walls of the Heritage Park Skatepark.
