Riverfest 2010 Clarksville Tennessee – Exit Right

The Riverfest Celebration started Friday night, September 10th 2010. Exit Right took the stage at 7:00pm playing on the Gateway Stage.

The 23rd annual Riverfest Celebration, kicked off Friday night, September 10th at 5:00pm. This free, two day music and arts festival features three stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.
Exit Right hit the Gateway Stage at 7:00pm to a large crowd. The band played until 8:00pm to a cheering audience.

Riverfest to Feature Remembrance Ceremony

In honor of the nine year anniversary of the September 11th attacks, a remembrance ceremony will be held from noon to 12:30pm Saturday, September 11th at Riverfest on the Bud Light Stage. Join us as we remember those who lost their lives during the September 11th tragedy and pay tribute to those who defend our freedom every day.
The 101st Airborne Division Band will take the stage to perform following a speech by City Councilman Deanna McLaughlin. The Clarksville Police Department, Clarksville Fire Rescue Honor Guard, and the Clarksville Police Department Chaplain will all take part in this moving and patriotic ceremony.

Restless Heart to Perform Friday at Riverfest

James Otto, who was set to perform Friday night at Riverfest, will be unable to perform due to an illness. Legendary country music group, Restless Heart, is currently celebrating over 25 years of perfecting the art of entertaining. They will perform Friday, September 10th at 9:00pm on the Bud Light Stage.
Their harmonies are pure silver, polished to a high sheen. And, as easily as silver conducts electricity, their music has electrified audiences around the world.

Riverside Drive Lane Closures for Riverfest

There will be lane closures on Riverside Drive for Riverfest beginning September 9th continuing through September 11th. We recommend drivers plan alternate routes or give themselves plenty of time to travel to their destination. [Read more]
Clarksville Parks & Recreation starts Adult Flag Football League
September 6, 2010
The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department will be registering teams for the new Adult Co-ed Flag Football League to begin play this Fall. The league will consist of no more than 8 teams on a first come, first serve basis.
Registration is underway through September 6th, at the Parks & Recreation main office. Games will be played Saturdays at 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am or 12:00pm at the Heritage Park Soccer Practice Fields beginning September 25th.
Fees are $300 per team and include officials, fees, equipment, field preparation and trophies.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to host free 2010 NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Competition

The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the local division of the 2010 NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition on September 18th at 1:00pm at Kenwood High School Football Stadium. Boys and girls compete separately in four age divisions (8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15).
All participants must launch one punt, one pass and one kick, and will be scored based on distance and accuracy (in feet). Admission to participate in the competition is free but a birth certificate is required upon registration.

Clarksville Community Centers will be closed September 6th, 2010

The City of Clarksville’s three community centers will be closed on Monday, September 6th, 2010 in observance of Labor Day. The community centers will resume regular operating hours beginning Tuesday, September 7th, 2010.
