In the 2011 America’s Favorite Farmer’s Markets Contest
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Downtown Market at Public Square was recently voted #1 in the state of Tennessee and #15 in the nation, in the 2011 America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest which is hosted each year by American Farmland Trust. This is the second year in a row the Clarksville Downtown Market has won first place in the state of Tennessee.

Riverside Drive Lane Closures for Riverfest & Park Information

Clarksville, TN – Lanes of Riverside Drive will be closed at various times for Riverfest, beginning September 8th and continuing through September 10th.
Traffic flow will be slower than usual during this time, so we recommend drivers plan alternate routes or give themselves plenty of time to travel to their destination. [Read more]
Clarksville Parks & Recreation offers programs for toddlers and parents alike this fall

Clarksville, TN – Calling all parents and children! The City of Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department is offering programming for our youngest citizens, as well as their parents.
The Toddlers in Action program at the Kleeman Community Center has restarted for the fall. The program, which is from 10:00am to 11:00am each Thursday, consists of activities that stimulate learning and encourages interaction with other toddlers. [Read more]
Several Clarksville Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed September 5th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s three community centers will be closed on Monday, September 5th, in observance of Labor Day.

“Twilight” double-feature at Movies in the Park

Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Friday, September 2nd, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for this month’s Movies in the Park event, featuring a double screening of “New Moon” and “Eclipse” on a giant blow-up screen under the stars. Both are rated PG-13.
The first movie will begin around 7:30pm, with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Youth Basketball League registration is right around the corner

Clarksville, TN – Is your child interested in playing basketball this winter? Clarksville Parks and Recreation is proud to offer our Youth Basketball League once again this year.
The youth league is open to ages 7 to 17 and costs $55.00 per player. This fee covers the department’s costs for shirts, officials, trophies and equipment. Players will be placed on teams after registration. Registrants must bring their birth certificate for age verification. [Read more]
