Fort Defiance to host Black History Month Event

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host a Black History Month event from 1:00pm-2:15pm on Saturday, February 12th, at Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center.
This free, educational event is open to the public and will feature the presentation “Your Story and Lives Won’t Die Twice” from the following guests of the Mt. Olive Cemetery Historical Preservation Society (MOCHPS) and Austin Peay State University:
Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Christmas on the Cumberland opens November 23rd

Clarksville, TN – The banks of the Cumberland River will once again be lit with over a million dazzling lights as Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Christmas on the Cumberland, presented by Blue Cord Realty, returns to McGregor Park Riverwalk.
The grand opening will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm on November 23rd, 2021 at McGregor Park Riverwalk and Museum. The official lighting ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, with the lights being turned on shortly after.
