Acuff Circle seeks nominations for Ovation Awards

Clarksville, TN – The coveted Acuff Circle of Excellence Ovation Awards in the arts will be presented March 1st, 2015, but nominations already are being sought.
The Circle, a non-profit organization affiliated with the Austin Peay State University Foundation, is a patrons society of the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts. The awards have been presented since 1996. [Read more]
Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Rear Drive-Up Book Return Closed until Parking Lot Renovation Completion

Clarksville, TN – The outside drive-up book return chute at the rear of the public library in Veteran’s Plaza is currently closed during the final phase of the parking lot renovation.

Austin Peay State University Hispanic Cultural Center goes on tour, hosts World Cup Sticker Exchange

Clarksville, TN – World Cup fever continues to intensify, with soccer fans across the globe scrambling to fill their World Cup sticker albums. The Austin Peay State University Hispanic Cultural Center and Hispanic Alumni Chapter are embarking on a tour to host World Cup Sticker Exchanges at select businesses.
In addition to trading stickers and filling up World Cup sticker albums, there will be free giveaways for those that can answer soccer trivia correctly. Participants will also receive Lady Govs Soccer posters, and be able to speak with staff members about Austin Peay, the APSU Hispanic Alumni Chapter and resources provided by the APSU Hispanic Cultural Center. Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library to host Imagination Library “Hats Off To Reading” with Celebrity Readers, June 25th

Clarksville, TN – Channel 4 Chief Meteorologist Lisa Spencer will be among the celebrity readers at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Wednesday, June 25th for a child-centered event to highlight the Montgomery County Imagination Library.
Other guest readers include GNASH, the Nashville Predators mascot, Kirby Cannon, APSU Head Football Coach, along with the APSU Governor’s mascot and the Tender Paws therapy dogs.
The fun will begin at 10:00 that morning in the atrium of the library.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library holding Scholastic Book Sale this Week

Hours are from 9:00am until 5:00pm each day in the atrium of the library.
Montgomery County Parks and Recreation to hold Public Input Meeting

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Parks and Recreation will host a Public Input Meeting on the Master Plan for St. Bethlehem Civitan Park on Thursday, February 6th, at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, 350 Pageant Lane.

Holiday Pizza Party with Santa at Clarksville’s Governors Square Mall

Special Holiday Activities All Month Long at Governor’s Square Mall
Clarksville, TN – Scotto Pizza is hosting a Holiday Pizza Party with Santa on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00am in the Food Court. Santa will be visiting with guests from 11:00am–11:30am.
The pizza party includes two meal options and each child will receive a Captain McFinn holiday coloring book. Tickets ($5.00) are available at the Customer Service Center by Dillard’s.
Meal options include either a slice of pizza, fries and a 16oz soda, or two slices of pizza and a 16oz soda. Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, December 18th. [Read more]
Fort Campbell’s 101st Airborne Division Band to put on Holiday Concert at Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library

Clarksville, TN – The 101st Airborne Division Band from Fort Campbell, KY will be performing at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library at 6:00pm on Tuesday, December 10th, 2013.
The show, entitled “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” will feature a brass quintet and a jazz combo for an hour-long concert.

World War I Historian John Schuler to speak at Clarksville Montgomery County Library December 2nd
