Clarksville Parks Recreation announces Heritage Park Skate Park Art Contest

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks Recreation Department is once again seeking entries for its Art on the Park contest. This contest takes place every two years in an effort to beautify the Heritage Park Skate Park and to deter graffiti.
We’re looking for your creative submission – a drawing, painting, and new this year – music samples!
Clarksville Sportsfest offers Free Day of Sports and Athletics

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its sixth-annual Sportsfest from 10:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday, August 20th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center located within Liberty Park at 1188 Cumberland Drive.
Sportsfest will offer a variety of sports, athletic and outdoor activities for the entire family.

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce A League of Their Own is coming to the big screen Saturday, August 20th as part of the 2016 Movies in the Park series.
Movies in the Park will take place at the Liberty Park Amphitheater, located at 1188 Cumberland Drive. Pre-show activities will include a free concert with Lydia Walker performing at 5:00pm followed by The Bootleggers at 6:00pm.

It’s time to get ready for Riverfest Regatta

Clarksville, TN – Join us for the Tenth Annual Riverfest Regatta, presented by US Bank, as part of the Riverfest celebration at McGregor Park on Saturday, September 10th. Participants can enter as an individual or as a team for a chance to win awards!
This boat race is not like any ordinary boat race. Participants will compete in their boats made of cardboard, plastic bottles, or a few other approved materials. There will be several divisions all racing down the 100-yard long course on the Cumberland River.
