Manna Café Ministries “Manna Madness” is going on now

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries announces Manna Madness, a 31-day event to raise awareness about and take action against hunger in the Clarksville area. The past few weeks have caused many Montgomery County workplaces to close, and, as a result, people have less money to put food on the table.

For the entire month of March, Manna Café will be collecting food and monetary donations to ensure we have enough food on our shelves to meet the needs in our community.

First Class of 2014 Completes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Workshops

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – The first class of 2014 completed the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) workshops. The group began in January and concluded a series of three workshops that lasted approximately three hours each in March.

Clarksville Fire Rescue and Clarksville Gas and Water Employees support Susan G. Komen Foundation

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – A seventh group of participants completed the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) workshops this month.

The group began the process in October 2012 with plans to complete their certifications by April 2013.

Clarksville Montgomery County School System Teachers receive $20,000 Grant from Dow Corning Foundation

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemClarksville, TN – The Dow Corning Foundation has approved a $20,000 grant to Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to fund the Teacher Extern Program, started this summer with 10 local industries, including Hemlock Semiconductor Group’s Clarksville site.

The program partners math and science teachers from CMCSS with engineers and industry professionals to better understand real life application of the subject they teach.

Montgomery County Animal Control facility Access

December 20, 2011

Montgomery CountyMontgomery County, TN – North Spring Street remains closed to through traffic by Clarksville Gas and Water, but access is being allowed to the Montgomery County Animal Control facility.

There have been some complaints about the facility being closed, but Animal Control has not been closed and is not closed.
