Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville, TN – Clarksville Firefighters will be out in full force this Labor Day weekend as the annual MDA Boot Drive is underway now through September 2nd.

In conjunction with the annual MDA telethon, raising money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy, Clarksville Fire Rescue personnel will be at Wal-Mart on Fort Campbell Boulevard, Wal-Mart on Madison Street, and Wal-Mart on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, Kroger on Dover Crossing Road, Kroger on Lowes Drive, Kroger and Dollar General Market on Madison Street, and Big Lots on South Riverside Drive in Clarksville collecting money from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Subdued Few Motorcycle Club to hold Memorial Ride for 19 Fallen Arizona Firemen

July 15, 2013

Subdued Few Motorcycle Club - Woodlawn, TNWoodlawn, TN – On Saturday, July 20th, Subdued Few Motorcycle Club is having a Memorial and Benefit Ride for Prescott 19. Subdued Few is riding to show their support for the brave men of the Arizona Hotshot Crew, and to raise money for the Wild Land Fire Service. Registration is from 9:00am until 11:00am.

The ride will start at Texas Casual Grill located on Trenton Road in Clarksville, TN at 11:00am and will end at Bo’s Cycle Shop. The ride will go past various fire stations on the route through Clarksville, TN, Cadiz, KY and through Hopkinsville, KY. Approximate arrival time of bikes at Bo’s Cycle shop is around 2:00pm.

Clarksville Firefighters AssociationClarksville TN – The Clarksville Firefighters Association is conducting their annual smoke detector give-away, providing life saving devices to those in need this holiday season. The Firefighters Association is working with Manna Cafe Ministries to reach the most people in need.

They held their first event Thursday night, and will be at the Vacation Motel located in New Providence at 650 Providence Boulevard next Tuesday night December 11th from 5:00pm-6:00pm

9-11 Ceremony to be held by Clarksville Fire Rescue

Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, September 11th, 2012, Clarksville Fire Rescue will be holding the annual ceremony honoring fallen firefighters and victims of the 9-11 tragedy. The event will begin at 6:00pm at the Main Fire Station, 802 Main Street, in Clarksville.

“This is the 11th anniversary of the 9-11 attack and, in many ways, it doesn’t seem possible that more than a decade has passed since that day,” said Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan. “This remembrance ceremony is an important part of offering our continuing thoughts and prayers to the families of the fallen and to show our gratitude to those brave men and women who protect us every day.” [Read more]

City Purchases New Fire Truck

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville recently addressed the need for a new fire truck by purchasing a new 2011 Ferrara Fire Apparatus, 57’ Quint, which was displayed Wednesday afternoon on Public Square.

The modern fire fighting machine has a tank capacity of 300 Gallons and is equipped with a pump capable of pushing 1500 gallons of water per minute, if needed. The truck has a seating capacity of 6 fire fighters and is equipped with all of the latest National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) safety features. [Read more]

Albright named Clarksville Fire Rescue Deputy Chief

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Howell Albright, a 35-year veteran of Clarksville Fire Rescue, has been named Deputy Chief of the department.

Fire Chief Mike Roberts and Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announced Albright’s appointment to the position at Thursday’s City Council Executive Session.

Albright, 57, is a Clarksville native and the longest serving member of the fire department. He had been Chief of the Training Division for the past 15 years.

Clarksville Firefighters Remodel Station 6

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville Fire Rescue will have an Open House at 11:00am Thursday, June 23rd, at Station 6, located at 8 Asbury Road, just off Fort Campbell Boulevard across from Cunningham Lane.

The station has been remodeled by Fire Rescue personnel, who have also built a 900-square-foot addition that serves as a dormitory with office space and fitness equipment. Station 6 was built in 1968 for an Engine Company of one fire truck and three firefighters. [Read more]

Clarksville Fire Rescue to Host Event on September 11th

Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville Fire Rescue will be hosting an open house prior to the September 11th Memorial Ceremony. The event will be located at Fire Station #1 at 802 Main Street from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at which time the Memorial Ceremony will commence.

There will be plenty of fun for the entire family. Children will have a great time with Tennessee Bear, Ollie the Otter, Sparky the Fire dog, search and rescue dogs and lots of other activities. The event will also include antique vehicles, a fire smoke trailer, firefighter equipment and other safety related items on display. The public is encouraged to come.

Free refreshments will be provided. The Clarksville Transit System will provide free transportation from RiverFest to Austin Peay parking lots and the fire station and then back to the Riverfront.
