A Dallas Brass concert is intended for the entire family. Our ideal audience has a range in ages from five to 95. Clarksville, TN – In the opening act of their 2014-2015 season, the Clarksville Community Concert Association presented the world famous Parker Quartet along with Guest Clarinetist Charles Neidich in a concert held in the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall at the Music and Mass Communication Building on Austin Peay State University.
The Parker Quartet features Daniel Chong and Ying Xue on Violin. Jessica Bodner on the Viola, Kee-Hyun Kim on the Cello; and they were joined in the second half by Charles Neidich on the Bassett clarinet.

Throughout his sideline career as a Nashville sessions string player, he has performed with some of the top names in modern music history, including Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Kris Kristofferson and Eddie Arnold.

The Midsouth jazz Festival closes out Clarksville Community Concert Association’s Community Concert Series each year.
The Grégoire Maret performance at the Midsouth Jazz Festival like all great jazz, seemed to be either a love it or hate it experience; with a sampling of audience members going each way. But as they say it takes different strokes for different folks.

Clarksville, TN – At 92, Toots Thielemans is considered the world’s greatest jazz harmonica musician, having played with luminaries such as Charlie Parker and Miles Davis.
In 2012, Thielemans made a guest appearance on 37-year-old Gregoire Maret’s self-titled debut solo album, and most music critics saw this as a passing of the baton to a new master of the jazz harmonica.

Clarksville, TN – The Grammy award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet will perform in Clarksville at 7:30pm on November 15th, at the Austin Peay State University Mabry Concert Hall.
The concert, which is part of the Clarksville Community Concert Association’s 2013-14 concert series, will feature a diverse repertoire of music, including Afro-Cuban rhythms, American Composer Aaron Copeland’s “Two Mexican Pieces,” Hungarian Composer Franz Liszt’s “Hungarian Rhapsody,” African-inspired music and others written specifically for the quartet.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Community Concert Association (CCCA) held this season opener at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall on Austin Peay State University Friday evening. The concert featured the Toomai String Quintet and what was the first quintet to be featured in a Clarksville community concert series event.
The program was entitled songs without words and featured a selection of choral music played with their five instruments performing the role of the voices. It was sublime. These five performers were able to draw the emotional complexity from the music with apparently effortless ease.
