Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council, the umbrella organization for the Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Development Board and Convention and Visitors Bureau, is the latest organization to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.

Montgomery County, TN – Stone, Rudolph, & Henry, PLC, a full service accounting firm in Clarksville, celebrated their Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification with a Green Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, May 2nd.
After cutting the ribbon, Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers kicked off the conversation by saying “Tell us what you all did to earn the certification.”

Austin Peay State University presents Walker Award to Cadet Nathan Brewer

Clarksville, TN – The recipient of the 2013 Command Sgt. Maj. Darol Walker Award at Austin Peay State University is one of the nation’s top ROTC cadets.
Cadet Nathan Brewer with APSU’s Governors Guard Battalion of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) was presented the award during a breakfast ceremony held Thursday, May 2nd at APSU. He already has prior military service, having been assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group and 82nd Airborne Division.

Montgomery County, TN – Trane, a global provider of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) is celebrating 100 years in business. Locally, Trane has been manufacturing industrial air conditioners in the community for 55 years.
The company has a rich history of giving back to Clarksville-Montgomery County with involvement in our local schools, United Way, other charitable organizations and with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program.

Rivers and Spires Festival fights chilly weather on second day of festival

Clarksville, TN – The second day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires festival opened with an unseasonable chill in the air, but that didn’t stop the crowds for coming out for the second day of this wonderful three day festival held in Historic Downtown Clarksville Tennessee.
On the first day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival I concentrated mostly on the musical entertainment, today I engaged in one of the most popular activities at the festival, people watching!
