Winner of Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s 2015 Queen City Road Race Art Contest Announced

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and Cumberland Bank & Trust are excited to announce the finalists and overall winner of the 2015 Queen City Road Race Art Contest.

Clarksville Academy Choir sings on the Montgomery County Court House steps

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 6th, 2014, Clarksville-Montgomery County held their annual Christmas Celebrations.
The festivities included the local school groups Christmas caroling on the court house steps, followed by the lighted Christmas Parade. After the Parade concluded Montgomery County held the official Lighting of the County Christmas Tree on the Courthouse law, and Santa visited with area children.
Clarksville Academy Choir sang before the start of the parade.
Clarksville Academy gets Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

CTS to offer Free Rides Thursday and Friday, November Saturdays

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System’s “Spooky Special” is back. All CTS rides are free on the specially painted bus on Thursday and Friday, October 30th and 31st, 2014.
“We have so many loyal customers and we want to show them our appreciation,” said Arthur Bing of the Clarksville Transit System. “The ‘Spooky Tour’ has been very popular in the past and we are glad to bring it back this year. APSU art students animate stories by Clarksville Academy second graders

Clarksville, TN – Earlier this week, a crowd gathered along the edges of a red carpet running through the lobby of the Austin Peay State University Trahern Building. They held up smartphone cameras and leaned over each other, trying to get a better view.
The whole thing felt a bit like an old Hollywood movie premiere, and that feeling only increased when, at 1:00pm, the doors opened and the students in Frances Traughber’s second grade class at Clarksville Academy shuffled down the carpet.
Clarksville Academy announces 2014 Homecoming Court

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy proudly announces Rebekah Lynn, the daughter of Dr. Bart & Kim Lynn as the school’s 2014 Homecoming Queen.
Rebekah is a senior at Clarksville Academy and is a member of the varsity soccer & tennis teams. She is also active in Key Club, National Honor Society, FCA, & Senior Class President. She was escorted by Connor Blackman, son of Dr. Scott & Jennifer Blackman.
