Clarksville Civil War RoundtableClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Civil War Roundtable announces its September 2019 program and speaker. The meeting is always open to interested members of the public.

The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, September 18th, 2019 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall. The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

Festivities are free of charge and diverse, offering something for visitors of all ages looking to have a great time at one of Clarksville’s most treasured gathering places.

A community favorite historic site, Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center is located at 120 Duncan Street.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Saturday, June 22nd, 2019, Clarksville Parks and Recreation invites you to bring a blanket, lawn chair and picnic lunch for an outdoor musical event at Fort Defiance from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Civil War reenactors will be on site as the Marlin Rood Band entertains with tunes from the 19th century.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has lined up a full schedule of camps and programs for youths of all ages for this summer. Parents are reminded that registration numbers are limited for all camps, so register early.

Friends of Fort Defiance to hold “March To The Past” on Saturday, May 4th

Friends of Fort DefianceClarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 4th, 2019, the Friends of Fort Defiance will host their annual March To The Past living history event at Fort Defiance in Clarksville from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

Live cannon demonstrations, 19th-century music performed by a Cumberland Winds ensemble, period reenactors, and numerous displays and presenters will all be part of this big event.

Numerous exhibits on civilian and military life in the 19th century, artillery demonstrations and more at Clarksville’s historic Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center.
