F2Con Gaming Convention Kicks Off Weekend of High-Stakes Competition and Casual Fun in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – F2CON, Clarksville’s highly anticipated annual gaming convention, opened its doors on Friday night at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, kicking off a weekend packed with competitive and casual gaming. For the first time in the event’s history, the convention began on a Friday evening at 7:00pm, drawing hundreds of gamers and spectators from across the region.
Hosted by CDE Lightband and Visit Clarksville, F2CON, which began in 2018, has quickly grown into a staple event for the local gaming community. This year’s convention features an impressive $10,000 total prize pool, drawing competitive gamers from across the country. Registration for the competitive tournaments is set at $50.00, with an additional $5.00 fee per game. Casual gamers can enjoy the weekend for a flat rate of $15.00.
CDE Lightband’s F2CON gaming tournament was a big hit with everyone

Clarksville, TN – On Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th, F2CON, powered by CDE Lightband, was held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park.
F2CON is a gaming tournament hosted here in Clarksville. For just $5.00, you were able to enter and play at F2CON. This year was the first time the event has been held since the pandemic.
F2CON isn’t just an event for the youth to come out and play but a way for them to win prizes. Prizes for the participants ranged from trophies to cash prizes. Fifty dollars allowed players to enter the tournaments and five dollars gained access to free play.

CDE Lightband and Geiger Promote Breast Cancer Awareness at Austin Peay State University

Clarksville, TN – CDE Lightband and Geiger, along with the Livgeiger organization presented APSU with breast self-exam kits for the female students moving into the dorms this week.
The LIV® Breast Self-Exam Aid was designed by Olivia Newton-John, singer, songwriter, actress and 17 year breast cancer survivor.

Go Commando Donates Over $50,000 To Charitable Organizations

Clarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon & 5k, powered by CDE Lightband, announced Tuesday they would donate over $50,000 to local non-profits and community organizations.
The largest recipients, the Clarksville Area YMCA and the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation, were both on hand to accept donations of $15,000 each. Christy Batts, Broadband Division Manager for the Clarksville Department of Electricity, was also in attendance to present the checks to the recipients.

Annual Science Fair A Big Success For Students

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Department of Electricity is proud to be a part of another very successful science fair for Clarksville-Montgomery County students. CDE and Austin Peay State University have co-sponsor the Montgomery County Science Fair each year since it began in 1993.
