Clarksville, TN – The 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival will be begin Thursday April 18th and continue through Saturday, April 20th. The streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville will be lined with food vendors, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities.
There will be over 100 acts performing all three days on five seperate stages. Music, art, food, there is something at Rivers and Spires for everyone to enjoy. And the truly great thing is that all the concerts and activities are free.

Clarksville, TN – This weekend, the place to be is Downtown Clarksville, Tennessee for the 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival. The Festival begins Thursday, April 18th and runs through Saturday, April 20th.
The streets will be filled with with craft and food vendors, five music stages, kids’ activities and artisan booths. So come out for a great time.

But, because it is our birthday, and we think a big one, the Festival has a few surprises up its sleeve, but you’ll have to come out and see!

Rivers and Spires’ Miss River Queen and Miss River Teen pageant to be held this weekend

Clarksville, TN – The search is on for this year’s Miss River Queen and River Teen. The annual pageant will be held March 24th, 2012 in Clement Auditorium on the campus of Austin Peay State University. The pageant begins at 7:00pm, and doors open at 6:30pm.
Tickets are $10.00 per person and may be purchased at the door.

That is why everyone interested in being a part of the milestone birthday is encouraged to sign up and be a part of the Festival.

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers & Spires Festival is currently accepting applications for the Miss River Queen and Teen Pageants as well as applications for volunteers and vendors.
Miss River Queen and Teen:
The 2011 pageant will be held Saturday, March 26th, 2011 in Clement Auditorium on the campus of Austin Peay State University. The Rivers & Spires Festival hosts this yearly beauty pageant for women 15 to 27 years-old. The Miss River Queen and River Teen Pageant is a preliminary pageant to the Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA pageant to be held in October 2011. The winners of the 2010 pageant were Miss River Queen Kyndal Hayes of Germantown and Miss River Teen Katie Kennedy of Clarksville. They will both be at the 2011 Pageant to hand over the crown to the next winners.

Once again, kids 12 years of age or younger and their accompanying adults can join all the fun – characters in costume, small floats and walkers – in the Fifth Annual Rivers & Spires Children’’s Parade to be held Saturday, Apr 18 at 1:00 p.m. The theme for this year’’s parade is “Games We Like to Play!”
Children and groups are encouraged to enter the Children’’s Parade theme contest. A group may be defined as a non-commercial organization, commercial organization, schools (public or private), daycares, neighborhoods, families, performing groups, etc. Entries will be judged on creativity and the parade theme. Special thanks to Five Star Radio Group, who once again is sponsoring the prize money for the best group, best individual and best float in this year’’s parade.
