Youth Charity Fashion Show Gala

LEAP OrganizationClarksville, TN – On January 25th, 2014 at 4:00pm the Leap Organization will be hosting a Charity Fashion Show Gala at the Emmanuel Family Life Center located at 303 Fairview Lane. In addition to youth modeling locally designed attire and formal wear, elected officials, pastors, and community leaders will also rip the runway.

There will be a catered meal served by youth for guests along with a silent auction featuring baskets containing gift cards, perfumes, sporting goods/memorabilia, vacations, and much more.

“Cheers for Charity” is a fundraising event held by Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville, an association of women who render charitable services to children of our community.

“Magic at the Museum” has great year for charity

Magic at the MuseumClarksville, TN – “Magic at the Museum” had a wonderful first year at the Custom’s House Museum in 2011. Produced by Bonehead Promotions, and presented by Better Homes and Garden Real Estate, the quarterly events were used to showcase the museum, and to raise money for local charity. The first year generated $4,000 dollars for local charities.

Maurice and Terry Vaughn, of Better Homes and Garden Real Estate bought into the new idea right away. “We were looking to launch our new company, and thought this would be a unique way of advertising our company, and giving back to Clarksville.” according to Maurice Vaughn.

F&M Bank Asks Facebook Fans to Vote For Charity Recipients of $2,000

To help determine the recipients of $2,000 in charitable donations, F&M Bank is calling on its Facebook fans. During the month of March, all current and new F&M fans will be given the opportunity to vote for one of eight non-profit organizations listed on the bank’s Facebook page. The two charities receiving the most votes will each be given $1,000. Charity receiving the most Facebook fan votes will be announced April 1.

F&M has offices in eight Middle Tennessee counties: Montgomery, Stewart, Robertson, Sumner, Wilson, Rutherford, Williamson and Putnam. Bank employees from each county nominated local charities from their market area. One charity per F&M market was selected. Those charities now in the running for two F&M $1,000 donations, are:

  • Radical Mission of Montgomery County
  • Good Samaritan, Inc. of Stewart County
  • GreenRidge Toys for Tots in Robertson County
  • The Humane Society of Sumner County
  • United Way of Wilson County
  • Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County
  • STARS (Students Taking A Right Stand) of Williamson County
  • Child Advocacy Center of the Upper Cumberland in Putnam County

Facebook is a social network site that has over 400 million members worldwide. Facebook users are invited to become a fan of F&M Bank and vote by going to www.facebook.com/myfmbank beginning March 1. Non-Facebook users can likewise navigate to the site, but will first be asked to sign up by selecting a user name and password before being directed to the F&M page. Clicking on “Become A Fan” will allow new Facebook users to vote for the charity of their choice.
