Lend Lease (US) Community Fund offers Scholarship Opportunity to Fort Campbell High School Seniors

Lend LeaseFort Campbell, KY – A special scholarship opportunity is now available to sons and daughters of Service Members who live in a Lend Lease privatized military community, like Campbell Crossing, and attend the installation’s DoDEA high school.

Sponsored by Lend Lease (US) Community Fund, BlueStar Scholarships will award scholarships up to $5,000 to eligible high school seniors. The BlueStar Scholarships program is now open and accepting applications through April 1st, 2015.

Program Trains Veterans for Jobs in the Green Building Industry

Campbell CrossingFort Campbell, KY — Mission Green Campbell Crossing, Operation Stand Down Nashville and Tennessee State University recently joined forces to provide opportunities and resources for Veterans in the Greater Nashville and Fort Campbell area. The program is called Mission Green and it focuses on training Veterans for jobs in the green building industry.

Mission Green is developing, what they call, the “Green Collar Workforce”, by teaching participants the skills and knowledge that they need to be proficient as entry level technical installers in the green building industry. Topics that will be covered during the training courses include the Department of Energy’s (DOE) weatherization requirements for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), which includes testing the diagnostics of homes through cost effective weatherization measures. Campbell Crossing is now an official training site for the WAP program. [Read more]

Campbell CrossingFort Campbell, KY – Campbell Crossing will again host the annual Post Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, October 2nd beginning at 7:00am.

Yard SaleAll on-post residents are invited to participate and most do so by selling items or shopping in the neighborhoods scattered with deals throughout post. Hundreds of visitors from off-post also visit to hunt through the wide variety of treasures available.
