Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theatre brings back “The Rocky Horror Show”, October 25th thru November 2nd

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – Dig out your fishnet stockings and sharpen your stilettos … that sweet transvestite and his motley crew are back by popular demand! Following last season’s wildly successful run, “The Rocky Horror Show” returns to the Roxy Regional Theatre, October 25th through November 2nd, for six performances only.

Richard O’Brien’s cult favorite tells the story of Brad Majors and his fiancée Janet Weiss, two clean-cut young people on the way to visit an old college professor.

“Always… Patsy Cline” shines at the Roxy Regional Theatre

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is currently staging their production of Always… Patsy Cline, a musical revue featuring the lovely Jacque Clydesdale as Patsy Cline and the talented Leslie Green as Louise Seger.

The show tells the the true story of Patsy Cline’s friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger. Seger first heard Cline on the “Arthur Godfrey Show” in 1957, and became an immediate and avid fan of Cline’s and she constantly hounded the local disc jockey Hal Harris at KIKK Houston to play Cline’s records on the radio.

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – The sultry sounds of one of the most acclaimed vocalists of the 20th century will fill the Roxy Regional Theatre, February 8th through March 2nd, in the perennial favorite and beloved musical “Always…Patsy Cline”.

Taking the stage in tribute to the country music legend who died tragically in a plane crash at the height of her career is Jacque Clydesdale. Although currently based out of New York, Jacque has strong ties to Music City, originally being from Brentwood, Tennessee, and having performed as a soloist with the LA Pops Orchestra in a tribute honoring Diane Warren, singing Shania Twain’s famous “From This Moment” duet with Grammy Award Winner Bryan White.

Richard O’Brien’s cult favorite tells the story of Brad Majors (played by Rob Rodems) and his fiancée Janet Weiss (played by Kaitlin Doughty), two clean-cut young people on the way to visit an old college professor. When they run into trouble and seek help at the freaky Frankenstein mansion, little do they know that Dr. Frank N. Furter (played by Matt Varelia) is in the midst of one of his maniacal experiments!

“Yesterday!” to play at the Jammin’ in the Alley

“Spring Awakening” at the Roxy Regional Theatre

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – John McDonald and Tom Thayer have brought together the perfect cast for their production of “Spring Awakening”. The result is a powerful, passionate performance that draws the audience in and sends them on an emotional journey with the characters they are portraying.

“Spring Awakening” is set in a 19th century German village that is socially and sexually repressed. The musical follows a group of teenagers through their own self discoveries as they become young adults.

Matt DuMont (as Melchior), Hannah Church (as Wendla) and Gregory Pember* (as Moritz) put on a strong, emotional performance that really lets the audiance feel what their characters are going through.

The rest of the cast, Melanie Beck, Josh Bernaski, Ryan Bowie, Regan Featherstone, Humberto Figueroa, Leslie Greene, Erin Keas, Ashley Laverty, John McDonald, Hollie Morse, Sean Ormond, Rob Rodems, Cassie Thompson and Kendall Anne Thompson are equally impressive.
