Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department’s 12th Annual Chili Supper a huge success

Cunningham, TN – The Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department held their 12th Annual Chili Supper at the Montgomery Central Middle School Saturday, February 25th. From 5:00pm until 7:00pm, volunteers served chili, cornbread and dessert to over 300 people.

Cunningham, TN – On February 25th, the Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department will be having their Annual Chili Supper at the Montgomery Central Middle School from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Tickets are $6.00 at the door.

Cunningham, TN – The 103rd annual Lone Oak Picnic will be held Saturday, July 30th, 2011, in Cunningham, TN, from 9:00am to 3:00pm featuring old time BBQ, political speeches, gospel and bluegrass music, inflatables, and car show. Location is between Highway 13 and Alonzo Place, just west of the Hwy 48/13 split.
The Lone Oak Picnic is a tradition dating back to 1908, and once again Central Civitan Club is proud to host this wholesome, fun, community and family event. All are welcome.
APSU, Vol State to celebrate opening of Highland Crest

Clarksville, TN – This fall, both Austin Peay State University and Volunteer State Community College will offer classes and degree programs at the new Highland Crest Campus in Springfield.
To get new students started, the two schools will hold an Open House Celebration and College Day from 11:00am-7:00pm, Wednesday, June 22nd. A ribbon cutting ceremony, sponsored by the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, will be held at noon. Lunch and bluegrass music will be provided for future students, guests and the public. Grascals set to headline 26th Annual MACC Festival on Wednesday
Nashville, TN –The Grascals’ version of the classic ’60s pop smash, “The Last Train To Clarksville” premiered worldwide on AOL Music / The Boot (www.theboot.com) yesterday. The video for their current country and bluegrass radio single was directed by Marcel Chagnon (Clay Walker’s “She Won’t Be Lonely Long”), and was filmed at several Nashville locations in late June.
“We are always looking for ways to bring our music to the people,” says Grascals’ vocalist Jamie Johnson. “This is an historic day for bluegrass music. With the premiere of our video, this is the first-time ever AOL has premiered a bluegrass artist’s music video and we are so honored to be the first.”
