Clarksville, TNBikers Who CareThe Bikers Who Care will host their 31st Annual Leslie W. Watson Toy Run and Benefit Party this weekend, September 14th-16th, at the Clarksville Speedway (1600 Needmore Road).

The weekend will include nightly bands, Street Bike Drags, Bike Show, Tatoo Contest, and Bikini Contests. Camping is allowed, and there will be plenty of vendors as well as food and drink.

Red River Sirens Roller Derby Presents “Rockabilly Rink Riot”

Red River SirensClarksville, TN – Clarksville Roller Derby’s Red River Sirens presents “Rockabilly Rink Riot” the first Home Bout of this Season on Saturday, April 7th at Magic Wheels, 1671 Fort Campbell Boulevard. Doors open at 6:00pm and the action begins at 7:00pm.

Tickets are $10.00 at the door, with children aged 12 and younger admitted free with a paying adult.

Attendees are invited to dress in ‘Rockabilly Style’. There will be a half-time show consisting of a Twist Competition with prizes for the Best Dancer.

Clarksville’s holds 5th Annual Downtown for the Holidays

Clarksville, TN – In what has become a Christmas Tradition, the City of Clarksville held their annual Downtown for the Holiday event on Saturday.

The event kicked off with the Jingle Bell Jog 5K Road Race in the morning, followed that afternoon by Christmas Caroling on the steps of the Montgomery County Court House along with free hot chocolate for the kids. The evening closed out with the 5th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade.

Yard Sale, Bake Sale and Raffel To Benefit the Children of the BWC 5

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, November 5th, The Bikers Who Care Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring a Yard Sale at the BWC Clubhouse to Benefit the Children of the BWC 5 who were lost on 9-18-2011 due to accidental Carbon Monoxide Poisioning.

Clarksville, TN – On October 31st, the residents of the City of Clarksville turned out to enjoy the Halloween festivities.

On Madison Street, the Mobley-Seifried family was out Trick or Treating. I caught up with them at the Williams House where Paisley (5), Crispin (4), and Alessandra (9) were singing the Halloween song for Mark Williams and the neighbor son John (6).

Roller Derby Season Finale Features Zombies and Commandos

Clarksville Red River SirensZombies vs. CommandosClarksville, TN – Just in time for the spooky season, Clarksville Roller Derby’s Red River Sirens present “Zombies vs. Commandos” on Saturday, October 22nd at Magic Wheels, 1671 Fort Campbell Boulevard. Doors open at 6:00pm and the action begins at 7:00pm.

Tickets are $7.00 at the door, with children aged 12 and younger admitted free with a paying adult. Attendees are invited to dress in costume.

The final event of the 2011 bout season, “Zombies vs Commandos” will consist of two 30-minute periods with an intermission. Halftime entertainment will include a children’s game led by The Nixies, the official “jeerleaders” for the Sirens, a kid’s costume parade and trick or treating with the Sirens.
