Clarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) – Southeast District III for its recruitment work.
The office received a special merit award in the recruitment publication series category for print and digital pieces. The printed pieces selected for the honor were part of the Traditional Student Recruitment Series. [Read more]

At Austin Peay State University, 2014 was not that type of year. Michael Hamlet, director of human resources, has been appointed by the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE) board of directors to the 2013 Board of Examiners. As an examiner, he will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating organizations that apply for the TNCPE Award. [Read more]

Beth Liggett, University photographer, had her photograph “Road Trip” accepted into the professional experimental and alternative processes category of the 2013 Downtown Artist’s Co-op Regional Photography Exposition. The exposition will open with a reception at 5:00pm, January 3rd and will remain open for viewing through February 1st at the Clarksville Downtown Artist’s Co-op, 96 Franklin Street. [Read more]
Duotone art exhibit comes to APSU November 19th

Clarksville, TN – Beth Liggett is the official photographer for Austin Peay State University, a photojournalist and an editorial and lifestyle photographer based in Clarksville.
On November 19th, a new exhibit of her work, titled “Duotone,” will open at APSU in the Morgan University Center Pop-Up Gallery. Liggett has chosen works that express the duality of her professional and her artistic work for this show.

These include “The Conceptual and Functional Diversity of the Ombudsman Institution: A Classification” published in Administration & Society; “The Ombudsman Institution and Democracy in the Bangladesh Context” in the book “Democracy in Bangladesh”; and “The Ombudsman Institution, Political Authority and Corruption” in the African Journal of Public Administration and Management.
