City of Clarksville Revenue Collections Office extends hours and accepts local utility bill payments

Clarksville, TN – Beginning Monday, October 3rd, 2011 the City of Clarksville Finance and Revenue Department will have extended office hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm in their Revenue Collections Office in order to better serve its citizens and make it more convenient for them to pay their property taxes and utility bills.
The Revenue Collections Office is located in the first floor of the City Hall building at One Public Square. The office collects revenue for property tax, personal property tax, general billings and parking tickets. [Read more]
City Budgeting Process

Clarksville, TN – In conjunction with Sunshine Week, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announces details of an open budgeting process that will include the public and will help residents better understand what goes into building a budget.
The Mayor and finance staff will have budget hearings for city departments and city-funded entities beginning April 11th at City Council Chambers. All hearings, workshops and meetings regarding the 2011-2012 Budget will be open to the public, and the proceedings will be digitally recorded and posted on the City’s website for those unable to attend. Certified Municipal Finance Officers Awards

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Finance Commissioner Ben Griffin and Senior Accountant Deborah K. Johnson were among the more than 90 municipal finance officers to be awarded the Certified Municipal Finance Officers (CMFO) certificate on January 27th in Nashville, TN.
